Erie’s Healthcare Leaders Explore the Future of Healthcare at Knowledge Breakfast

The Marquette Savings Bank Innovation Learning Center in downtown Erie was buzzing with energy as Chamber members and community leaders gathered for the Erie Regional Chamber’s latest Knowledge Breakfast, The Future of Healthcare.
The event brought together healthcare and business leaders from across the region for an engaging discussion on the opportunities and challenges shaping the future of healthcare. From workforce development and evolving legislation to innovation in patient care and access to services, attendees gained valuable insights into the trends influencing healthcare at both the local and national leve
As one of the region’s most important industries, healthcare plays a critical role in Erie’s economy and quality of life. The discussion emphasized the importance of collaboration, adaptability, and strategic planning as organizations work to meet the changing needs of patients, providers, and communities.

The event featured a panel discussion moderated by Craig Ulmer, CEO of Community Health Net, with insights from Dr. Marcus Babiak, Chief Operating Officer, LECOM Medical Center; Dr. Chris Clark, President, AHN Saint Vincent Hospital; Brian Durniok, Market President, Northwest Pennsylvania and New York; President, UPMC Hamot; and Dr. George Garrow, Chief Executive Officer, Primary Health Network.
Panelists shared their perspectives on the future of healthcare, highlighting both emerging opportunities and ongoing challenges facing providers, employers, and patients throughout the region.
